The fireworks show will return to the Boston Common this year as part of the annual Fourth of July Spectacular, the Boston Pops announced Friday. Naturally, Independence Day celebrations are a tentpole of any Bostonian summer plansbut this years arrive with more gusto and gravitas than any in recent memory. 7:00pm: Boston Common fireworks Everybody needs to do it at least once. As the audience ushers in the start of 2022, a breathtaking fireworks display will light up Boston Harbor, presented by the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park. Bikes locked to security fences, poles, or other structures may be subject to removal. There will also be sculptures in front of WGBHs studio in the Boston Public Library, and set up at various Back Bay establishments.
